Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is hiring a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a primary school in Tees Valley, United Kingdom. You will provide one-to-one support during lessons and transitions, helping the learner engage and thrive with patience and empathy.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt tasks, monitor progress and foster a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting children, especially those who need extra help.
• Patience, resilience and positive energy to guide and encourage learning.
• Strong communication with teachers, parents and staff to support the pupil.
• Experience in a primary school or SEND support is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a pupil during lessons, breaktimes and transitions.
• Help create a calm, encouraging and safe learning environment for the pupil to flourish.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt tasks to individual needs.
• Use creativity and emotional intelligence to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities.
• Celebrate achievements and support the pupil's journey.
