Location: Grantham

Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time (Term Time Only)
Salary: 82.08 to 96.96 per day

Simply Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Grantham to recruit a committed and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a mainstream classroom environment.

The Role:
You will be providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs. The role requires consistency, patience, and the ability to adapt to the child's individual educational and emotional requirements. The position is based within a primary setting and may include supporting across various subjects and activities throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with a designated pupil to support their academic and emotional development.

• Follow and help implement the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

• Provide in-class support as well as individual interventions where appropriate.

• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the pupil is fully supported.

• Assist with classroom activities, resource preparation, and progress tracking.

• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN or behavioural needs.

• A calm, patient, and positive approach.

• Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
