Job summary

Axcis Education in Bracknell is seeking a warm, resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with significant and challenging behaviours in a large primary school. You will work closely with the pupil throughout the day, providing individualised support to access learning, develop emotional regulation, and build confidence and social skills within a supportive team.

Previous SEMH/behaviour experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH, autism, ADHD or complex needs is highly desirable.
• Ability to establish trust and consistently set boundaries with a pupil in need of positive behaviour support.
• Willingness to participate in Forest School and outdoor activities as part of the learning week.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with significant behaviours.
• Help access curriculum and wider learning opportunities.
• Support emotional regulation and develop coping strategies.
• Build confidence, independence and social skills.
• Foster positive relationships with staff and peers.
• Assist with classroom routines and safe behaviour management.
