Job summary

Independent Lives in East Grinstead is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support our 19-year-old son on weekends and college holidays. He has autism, global developmental delay and high sensory needs, uses a wheelchair, and requires 1:1 support to stay safe, calm and engaged both at home and in the community. You will assist with activities, meals, moving and handling, and personal care.

Training will be provided. Driving is not essential, but some trips may occur.

Qualifications

• Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, sensory needs or personal care is beneficial.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undertake a DBS check.
