Job summary

AP Education is seeking dedicated SEND Tutors to deliver 1:1 support in Ascot, Berkshire, for pupils with SEND/SEMH needs. You will provide face-to-face tutoring across Early Years to KS4, focusing on core subjects and tailored interventions.

Success requires experience with SEND, strong communication, and a compassionate, proactive approach. The role offers term-time, up to 15 hours weekly, with a guaranteed weekly pay structure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience tutoring children with SEND/SEMH.
• Background in education, youth work, or therapeutic settings is helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face 1:1 support across Early Years to KS4.
• Provide Maths/English/Science or SEND-specific content.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and patient approaches.
• Prepare progress reports and liaise with SALT/OT/Social Workers as needed.
• Assist learners in transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
