Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Croydon’s mainstream primary schools from September. The role involves 1:1 support, managing emotions, and collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets.

A Level 2 TA qualification and current DBS Update Service are preferred. Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of SEND experience, be available Monday to Friday, and demonstrate patience and dedication to pupil progress in a

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable).
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion.
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil.
• Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation.
• Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
