Job summary

Milk Education in North Shields is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to work with a pupil with additional learning needs. You will provide personalised one-to-one support, help with learning activities, and collaborate with teachers and the SENDCo to promote progress and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND in schools, care, nursery or community settings.
• Knowledge of autism, ADHD or speech and language needs is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt activities to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.
• Adapt activities to meet the pupil's needs and promote independence.
• Work with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider team to implement tailored learning support.
• Help monitor progress and provide feedback on achievements.
