Job summary

Locking Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis, using TEACHH approaches across year groups.

Experience with autistic children or social communication barriers is valued, with Level 3 in early years advantageous though not essential. The role is term-time only on a fixed-term contract through 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering SEND 1:1 support and small group work.
• Experience delivering speech/physiotherapy/occupational therapy programmes.
• Experience working with autistic children or social communication barriers.
• Level 3 in Early Years is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide SEND 1:1 and small group support to pupils across year groups.
• Support pupils using the TEACHH approach to learning.
