Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary schools in Bradford. This full-time role offers 1:1 support, ongoing professional development, and DBS support. Working hours are 8:15am–3:30pm with weekly pay and long-term opportunities.

Suitable candidates will have SEN experience, be patient and adaptable, and hold Level 2/3 qualifications in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning if possible. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs.
• Experience in a school, childcare, or educational setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Support pupils inside and outside the classroom to access learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.
• Encourage independence and social development.
• Support pupils in communication and emotional regulation.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Monitor and record pupil progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support individual learning plans.
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
