Job description

Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Everton School

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a primary school in the Everton area (L4). This position is to start in September and will be a long-term role with the view to going permanent.

Location: Everton (L3)

Hours: 08:45 – 15:30 (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour.

You will be supporting a child in EYFS with Autism (ASC) throughout their day in school. The child in question has difficulties in regulating and managing their own behaviour, and this can result in outbursts both within and outside the classroom environment. You will be required to manage and de-escalate the child’s outbursts and put support into place which may help to prevent these in the future. You will work closely alongside the Class Teacher, as well as the SENCo, to identify the child’s triggers and establish the best strategies for managing this behaviour, where necessary.

To be considered, you must have the following:

- Previous experience within a care, education or childcare setting.

- A proven track record of effectively managing challenging behaviour.

- Experience within SEN, including complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
