Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wellingborough/Rushden
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with one child, offering tailored, consistent support throughout the school day. You'll play a vital role in helping them access the curriculum, develop key life skills, and feel safe, valued, and encouraged every step of the way.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused 1:1 support to a child with SEN in and out of the classroom

  • Help implement and adapt their Individual Education Plan (IEP)

  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and social development

  • Encourage participation in learning activities and build confidence

  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external specialists

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (highly desirable)

  • Calm, patient, and committed to providing consistent support

  • Passionate about inclusion, equity, and empowering every child

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., TA Level 2/3, SEN training) is a plus-but we welcome transferable skills and the right attitude!
