Job summary

Aspire People in Leicester is recruiting dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across local schools. This role requires patience, empathy and a passion for helping children reach their potential.

You will provide one-to-one support throughout the school day, help pupils access lessons, build confidence and promote wellbeing, and work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other staff.

About the Role

• Providing dedicated one-to-one support throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For

• Previous professional experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare setting, or another relevant professional environment.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence in adapting to different situations and responding to individual needs.
• A reliable, proactive, and professional attitude.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in a one-to-one capacity, is highly desirable.

Essential availability: You must be able to work within school hours of 08:30-15:30. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available, depending on the placement.
