Job summary

Junior Adventures Group UK is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Activity Playworker to join our breakfast and after-school club team in Derby. The role requires experience supporting children with SEND in both play and learning activities, with patience and a proactive, safety-minded approach.

You will work in term time only, around mornings and after-school sessions, with a focus on inclusive, fun activities and positive behaviour support. Parking is available on site.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
• Experience in teaching or supporting PMLD children (Profound and multiple learning difficulties).
• Ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviors.
• Patience and responsiveness to children's needs.

Responsibilities

• Support children within our Holiday Club.
• Support children in all areas with sensory activities and games.
• Engage with children through play and sports.
• Supervise children in a safe and welcoming environment.
• Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere where possible.
• Experience in either teaching or supporting PMLD children.
