Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Secondary Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition to secondary students in Manchester. The role focuses on English, Maths or Science, with tailoring to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4 and boost engagement.

A suitable candidate has QTS or equivalent and UK classroom experience, and is comfortable working in a home or community setting. The position is part-time (15 hours per week per student), temporary, and starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• Provide two professional child-related references.
• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons for KS3/KS4 pupils.
• Bridge gaps in education and boost engagement and attainment.
• Deliver bespoke tutoring packages in English, Maths or Science.
• Adapt teaching to disengaged, at-risk and vulnerable learners.
• Coordinate with families for suitable timings and locations.
