Job summary

Cornwall Council Together for Families is seeking a kind, reliable Personal Assistant to support a six-year-old autistic boy in the Falmouth area. Role includes 1:1 support at home and in the community to build confidence and social skills.

Self-employed PAs preferred with 8 hours per week and flexible scheduling; weekend availability required. DBS check will be completed through the council.

Qualifications

• Self-employed PAs preferred; employed PAs may be considered for right candidate.
• Hours: 8 per week with flexible scheduling, weekends and school holidays.
• Enhanced DBS check required; admin handled by Cornwall Council.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support at home and in the community.
• Help the child access activities, build confidence and independence.
• Support social, communication and independence skills through engaging activities.
