Job summary

Warwick College Group is seeking a dedicated support assistant to provide in-class and mentoring support for students, helping them access resources and participate in activities. You will assist with materials, monitor progress, and work with learners to achieve targets.

The role involves one-to-one and small group support, attendance at mandatory training, and collaboration with teachers. Salary is pro rata and aligned with academic schedules.

Qualifications

• Good general education to Level 2.
• English and Maths at Level 2.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly as a member of the team.
• Willingness to undertake staff training including Team Teach.
• Previous experience of working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support or mentoring outside the classroom.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of materials for named student use.
• Support 1:1 or small groups to meet individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviours for independent learning.
• Contribute to student progress records (ProMonitor).
• Support students with transport at start and end of day.
• Attend department meetings and undertake required training.
• Accompany students on work experience, trips, or off-site activities.
• Contribute to student reports as requested.
