Job summary

Engage Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school in Worthing. You will provide 1:1 support to students with Autism and ADHD, helping them access the national curriculum and develop social and learning skills.

The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with September 2026 start. Applicants from diverse backgrounds such as youth workers or mentors are welcome, and this position provides a pathway into teaching for aspiring educators.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students aged 5–11 or 11–16.
• Confident in managing behaviour.
• Ability to build professional relationships with students.
• Fun but firm presence.
• Interest in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to students with differing needs (including Autism and ADHD).
• Support learners in Worthing for school-based role.
• Contribute to a nurturing learning environment and assist with transitions and classroom activities.
