Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking caring 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming mainstream primary schools across Lambeth. You will provide one-to-one support for pupils, helping them access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

Ideal candidates are patient, reliable, and capable of building positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and the SENCO. The role offers flexible daily supply or long-term placements with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable.
• Experience supporting children with SEND/ASD/SEMH desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils needing extra help.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in lessons.
• Support pupils with academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and other staff.
• Encourage confidence, independence and resilience in learning.
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
