Job summary

GSL Education in Maidenhead is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support for students with learning needs. The role is temporary to permanent, working closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans.

The successful candidate will join a supportive school community, access CPD resources, and contribute to student well-being and progress, with a competitive daily rate of £92–£115.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
• Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• A passion for supporting young people to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to specific students with learning needs, on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.
• Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student to promote their well-being and engagement.
• Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
