Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring Learning Partner to join a welcoming Patchway primary school, delivering dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN. You’ll help the child access learning, build confidence and stay supportive throughout the school day.

Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you’ll adapt activities, encourage independence and foster positive relationships. DBS check required; references will be requested during compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience in a primary school or educational setting desirable.
• Patience and compassion; ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Calm, adaptable and encouraging even on challenging days.

We're looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Partner to join a welcoming primary school in Patchway, providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a genuinely rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll be helping a child build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and celebrate those brilliant little wins that make all the difference.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you'll provide tailored 1:1 support to help your pupil access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and feel confident in the classroom.

You'll adapt activities where needed, encourage independence and be a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Has experience working within a primary school or educational setting, this is highly desirable
• Is patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with children
• Can remain calm, adaptable and encouraging, even on challenging days
• Holds an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
• Can provide 24 months of references as part of the compliance process
