Job summary

Banstead Preparatory School, part of the United Learning group, is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Assistant to support a child in EYFS. This fixed-term, term-time position offers a structured 37.25-hour week across 35 weeks with January 2027 start and renewal potential.

You will join a warm, innovative school dedicated to wellbeing and academic growth. You will work closely with the EYFS team, contribute to an inclusive learning experience, and help build confidence and essential early skills

Qualifications

• Early Years Educator Level 3 or equivalent (essential).
• Passionate about working with young children, particularly in a 1:1 support role.
• Kind, patient, and nurturing with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Organised, flexible and able to respond to individual learning needs creatively.
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding and committed to supporting the wellbeing of all pupils.

1:1 Learning Assistant – Fixed Term

Hours: 37.25 per week. 7.25 hours for 4 days, 8.25 hours for one day (to support at a club) - We would potentially consider job share/part time for the right candidates.

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Assistant to join our friendly team, providing tailored support to help a child succeed both academically and emotionally. This role is key to helping them build strong foundations in their learning and confidence during these crucial early primary years.

This is a full-time, term-time only position on a 1-year fixed term contract, with strong potential for renewal. It’s a great opportunity for someone with relevant qualifications or experience who is passionate about nurturing and guiding young learners.
