Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a patient and creative Numeracy & Literacy Tutor to support KS1/KS2 students in a 1-to-1 setting, either at home or within the community. The role focuses on building confidence, engagement and learning plans tailored to individual needs.

You will work on a flexible schedule, with part-time hours and a start ASAP. Previous UK tutoring or classroom experience, and a DBS check, are desirable to help vulnerable learners re-engage with education.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-to-1 numeracy and literacy tutoring.
• Create and deliver personalized learning plans.
• Engage and re-engage SEND/disengaged pupils.
• Adapt sessions to family timings and locations.
