Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in Early Years in a Walsall school. The role focuses on supporting learning, social and emotional development for a pupil with autism and low ability, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the class teacher to tailor lessons, fostering confidence and independence, and maintaining a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Prior 1:1 experience and Level 2/3 qualification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individual students in an educational setting.
• Strong empathy and understanding of individual needs.
• Excellent communication with student, staff and parents.
• Flexible and adaptable to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to a specific student in Early Years.
• Collaborate with the teacher to plan and deliver tailored activities.
• Support academic, social and emotional development of the pupil.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt strategies to suit the student’s learning style.
• Assist with progress assessments and feedback to teachers/parents.
• Foster positive relationships and clear communication with school and parents.
