1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant (BSL) - Nursery

Location: Central London
Pay: 95 - 115 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Remedy Education are looking for a caring and skilled 1:1 Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience and British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above to support a wonderful little boy in a Nursery setting. This is a full-time role starting immediately, working closely with a child who requires additional support with both physical and learning needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate, patient and committed TA who loves working in Early Years and is confident using BSL to support communication.

The role
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Nursery-aged child with physical and learning needs
  • Use BSL to support communication, interaction and understanding
  • Assist with personalised learning activities and play-based development
  • Support the child with routines, transitions and social interaction
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals
  • Uphold safeguarding and create a safe, nurturing environment
The ideal candidate
  • BSL Level 2 or above (essential)
  • EYFS or Nursery experience
  • Warm, patient and confident supporting children with additional needs
  • Able to follow support plans and adapt learning to the child's needs
  • A positive communicator who builds trust and consistency
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
