Job summary

New Directions Education is seeking dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support primary-aged pupils with behavioural needs across Flintshire on a supply basis.

You will work 1:1 with individual pupils, helping them engage with learning, develop emotional regulation skills, and achieve their full potential within the classroom. The role offers flexible supply work across multiple schools and the chance to gain varied experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, and social needs is beneficial.
• Calm, patient and confident in handling challenging situations.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with behavioural needs.
• Support pupils to engage with learning and develop self-regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and ALNCOs to implement support plans.
• Help pupils build independence, resilience, and confidence.
