Job summary

Fife Council is seeking a Casual Childcare Practitioner (ASN) to support children and young people aged 4 to 18 in specialist out of school clubs. The role involves 1 to 1 work to meet individual care and support needs, with activities and experiences planned to suit each young person.

Applicants should be fun, engaging and adaptable, with experience in play, care or learning settings. PVG clearance and SSSC registration are required, with a six-month window to complete registrations and PVG

Qualifications

• Fun, engaging and adaptable individual with a passion for working with children and young people.
• Experience in play, care or learning settings with children and young people.
• Willingness to work towards SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or hold a suitable qualification.
• PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration to be completed within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities suitable for ages 4–18.
• Provide healthy snacks and assist with feeding where required.
• Assist with moving and handling.
• Provide personal and intimate care as needed.
• Administer routine and emergency medications as part of care.
