Job summary

Five Education is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC in Paulton. The role is full-time with a daily rate of £90-£100 and starts ASAP or in September.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom during term-time hours, 8:30–15:30, Monday to Friday. A driving licence is required for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND/ASC is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable in approach.
• Full UK driving licence required due to limited public transport access.
• Right to work in the UK – no sponsorship or skilled worker visa accepted.
• Up-to-date DBS/police check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC.
• Support learning, emotional regulation and social development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
