Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Geography Teacher for a well-resourced secondary school in Royston, Hertfordshire. The part-time 0.6 FTE permanent role starts ASAP, offering a pro rata salary within the MPS/UPS band.

You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, plan engaging lessons, support map interpretation and data analysis, assess progress and collaborate on curriculum priorities within a supportive humanities team.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong understanding of the secondary Geography curriculum.
• Ability to create engaging lessons for students with different learning needs.
• Maintains high expectations and positive classroom relationships.

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan lessons that develop geographical knowledge, enquiry and analytical skills.
• Support students with map interpretation, data analysis and extended responses.
• Assess learning and provide feedback that helps students make progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and departmental priorities.
