Job summary

IntelligenzIT in France seeks a mid-senior to senior z/OS administrator with at least five years of hands-on experience. You will maintain IBM z/OS environments, install and update software, monitor performance, and participate in capacity planning.

Job description

Experience Level: Mid-Senior to Senior (minimum 5 years)

Required Technical Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in z/OS administration.
• Strong knowledge of:
• JES2 / JES3
• TSO / ISPF
• SDSF
• SMP/E
• DFSMS
• HCD / HCM
• RMF
• IPCS
• Knowledge of Sysplex and Parallel Sysplex architectures.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of Mainframe security concepts and RACF.
• Good understanding of high-availability, disaster recovery (DR), business continuity, and service continuity requirements.
• Experience in banking environments or highly regulated mission-critical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Mainframe certification.
• Experience within retail banking, investment banking, or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of Mainframe modernization solutions such as:
• APIs
• Automation
• Mainframe DevOps
• Experience in environments subject to banking regulations (EBA, ACPR, ECB).

Main Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IBM z/OS environments in operational condition.
• Install, configure, and update Mainframe systems and software.
• Monitor performance and ensure infrastructure availability.
• Perform maintenance activities using SMP/E.
• Manage Level 2 and Level 3 incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization activities.
• Oversee backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with Security, Network, Storage, and Production teams.
• Participate in Mainframe infrastructure modernization and enhancement projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
