The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government is seeking a Pump Station Operator to perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wastewater lift stations and related equipment to ensure smooth operations of the wastewater system.

The role requires daily maintenance tasks, temporary replacements of other operators, safety compliance, and readiness for emergency call-outs, with frequent collaboration with the operation supervisor and the collections team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year mechanical experience preferred.
• Must have Louisiana driver’s license and be able to obtain relevant certifications.

Responsabilités

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on lift stations and related equipment.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure proper operation of wastewater pumping systems.
• Temporarily replacing other pump station operators and assisting the line crew as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety meetings; respond to emergency call-outs.
• Complete daily work orders, maintain maintenance logs, and ensure accurate documentation.
