YOUR ROLE

At Kolsquare, people are at the heart of our success!

As VP People – new position at Kolsquare – you’ll shape the People strategy that powers Kolsquare’s next phase of international growth. Reporting to Alexis, our CFO, you’ll lead a growing People team of 4 (based in France and Austria), overseeing operations and strategy across France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Sweden, and Denmark.

Your main mission will be to design scalable HR foundations, nurture a culture of performance and wellbeing, and guide the company through a new era of expansion and acquisitions.

What will you do?
1. People Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead and develop the People team, building a function that reflects our mission and scale‑up ambitions.
  • Partner with the leadership team as a trusted advisor to design and deliver a world‑class People strategy.
  • Build the HR infrastructure to support international growth, compliance, and efficiency.
2. M&A and Organisational Transformation
  • Take a key role in M&A integration – from due diligence to cultural alignment.
  • Design scalable and compliant HR systems and policies across multiple entities.
  • Drive change‑management initiatives that bring teams and processes together.
3. Culture & Engagement
  • Foster an exceptional employee experience, balancing our remote‑first approach with vibrant team connection.
  • Translate our values into meaningful rituals, communication, and experiences.
  • Lead engagement surveys and follow‑up actions, driving initiatives in DEI, wellbeing and belonging.
4. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
  • Oversee all recruitment processes (inbound, outbound, and referral).
  • Train hiring managers and improve candidate experience from first contact to onboarding.
  • Strengthen our employer branding and make Kolsquare’s culture visible externally.
5. People Operations & Development
  • Ensure seamless HR operations: admin, contracts, payroll, compliance.
  • Harmonise processes and policies across all countries.
  • Build frameworks for performance, feedback, and career development.
  • Promote a data‑driven and continuous learning culture.

YOUR PROFILE
Must‑haves
  • 10+ years of experience in HR roles, ideally in fast‑paced scale‑ups or SaaS/tech environments.
  • Proven success in building and scaling People functions internationally.
  • Expertise in HR operations, compliance, performance, and learning & development.
  • Strong understanding of French labour law.
  • Track record in talent acquisition and employer branding.
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strategic thinker who enjoys being hands‑on.
Nice‑to‑have
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages.
  • Previous exposure to the international HR landscape.
