Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier is holding auditions for two full-time violists in Montpellier. The audition is on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 9:30 AM at Salle Beracasa – Le Corum, with registration by 9:15 AM. An accompanist may be requested for performances.

The Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier is holding auditions for two full-time violists. The audition will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Salle Beracasa – Le Corum in Montpellier. Candidates must arrive by 9:15 AM for registration and a draw to determine the order of performance. Applications are open to individuals of all nationalities, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria, including the possession of civil rights and a medical certificate confirming their ability to perform as an orchestra musician.Candidates must submit their applications via email or postal mail by October 25, 2026. Required documents include a photocopy of an identity document, diplomas, and a CV. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Candidates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs, which will not be reimbursed, even for successful applicants.The competition will consist of at least three eliminatory rounds, with the first two rounds taking place behind a screen to ensure anonymity. Candidates may request the assistance of an accompanist for their performances. The successful candidates are expected to start as soon as possible, but no later than February 2, 2027. The annual gross salary for the positions is set at a minimum of €40,982.
