Coface is seeking an Associate Economist to join its Economic Research Department in a VIE role. You will support senior economists with research, credit analysis and market monitoring, building databases and themed reports for the Central Europe region.
You will craft weekly central Europe news summaries, contribute to publications and prepare client presentations. Strong writing, analytical skills and MS Office proficiency are essential.
Coface Central Europe Region consists of 12 countries, and the largest business we do in Poland, Austria, Romania and Slovenia. The open position is within the Regional Transformation Office focusing on project management and business processes in all countries of the Region.
We are looking for an Associate Economist to join our Economic Research Department. In this role as VIE, you will initially support senior economists and project teams by conducting economic research, credit analysis and regular market monitoring. Generate and update statistical databases and themed reports.
The main responsibilities will be:
At least Master’s degree in economics, banking, insurance or statisticsA minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or internship in a similar role/profileLanguage requirements – English C1, willing to work in multicultural, multinational environmentDemonstrate good understanding of concepts and principles in macroeconomics and country risk analysisDemonstrate excellent writing skillsHighly analytical and strong fact-finding skillsAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPointThe experience in using Macrobond would be an asset but not necessary
