Cubiq Recruitment is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to own the analysis and dynamic behaviour of deployable structures for a New Space spacecraft, guiding from concept through qualification and into flight.

You’ll collaborate with mechanism, structures and test engineers to solve complex problems using first-principles thinking, simulation and physical testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in multibody dynamics and modal analysis.
• Competence in noise, vibration and harshness modelling.
• Ability to perform dynamic simulations and correlate with tests.

If you're the kind of engineer who enjoys understanding how complex mechanical systems move, deploy and behave under demanding conditions, this is an opportunity to work on hardware that will operate in space.

We're working with a rapidly growing New Space company developing next-generation spacecraft. They’re looking for a Structural Dynamics Engineer to own the analysis and dynamic behaviour of deployable structures, helping to ensure they perform reliably from concept through qualification and into flight.

You’ll work alongside mechanism, structures and test engineers to solve challenging engineering problems using first-principles thinking, simulation and physical testing.

What you’ll be doing

• Analyse the dynamic behaviour of deployable mechanical systems.
• Perform multibody dynamics, modal and vibration analysis.
• Support structural verification and qualification testing.
• Correlate simulation results with physical test data.
• Work closely with design engineers to optimise stiffness, mass and performance.
• Support product development from concept through to flight-ready hardware.

We’re looking for engineers with experience in:

• Multibody dynamics.
• Modal analysis.
• Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH).
• Dynamic simulation.
• CAD (CATIA, Siemens NX or Creo).

Experience gained in space, aerospace, defence, robotics, launch vehicles, motorsport or other high-performance engineering environments is all of interest.
