CO2 AI in Paris is seeking a Value & Solutions Architect to translate sustainability ambitions into measurable business value. You will blend advisory leadership with hands-on data work, mapping and cleaning client data, and building pipelines to feed CO2 AI’s platform.

You’ll own a portfolio of major accounts and drive carbon-related insights, working with cross-functional teams across product, sales, and engineering.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years across management/sustainability consulting and/or data engineering, data science, or software engineering.
• Experience using Python to work with real, messy data, as an engineer or consultant.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience working with demanding customers and running projects with limited guidance.
• AI-enabled mindset with ability to leverage AI tooling to solve complex data problems and automate repetitive work.

As a Value & Solutions Architect at CO2 AI, you will partner with leading organizations to translate their sustainability ambitions into measurable business value and you'll build the data foundations that make that value real.

This is a hybrid role. One half of it is advisory: from the moment a customer joins our platform, you are their trusted advisor, guiding them through a seamless onboarding experience, orchestrating collaboration across our expert teams (product managers, support engineers, back office), and ensuring they unlock the full potential of CO2 AI. The other half involves working with the actual data and platform: you get into the client's data yourself, mapping and cleaning it, writing the code that turns messy inputs into CO2 AI's data format, and standing up the pipelines that everything else depends on.

You will own a small portfolio of large, strategic accounts. Low volume, high stakes: these are some of the biggest companies in the world, and what you do lands at the top of their sustainability agenda and in the pipelines that run underneath it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (AND WHY IT MATTERS)

Strategic Advisory: Partner with clients to turn their sustainability ambitions into actionable strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable impact.

Value Realization: Leverage the CO2 AI platform to surface decarbonization opportunities, quantify their business value, and rally stakeholders to act.

Hands-On Data Engineering: Collect, map and clean client data to make it digestible by the CO2 AI software, and write robust, repeatable Python to transform it into CO2 AI data format. You own the pipeline, not just the strategy on top of it.

Carbon Expertise: Be the person who knows EF matching cold - helping companies build accurate carbon footprints (CCF and PCF) and drive real reduction programs.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted-advisor relationships across the C-suite, sustainability, procurement, and R&D, guiding clients through their transformation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with professional services, solutions architects, product, sales, and engineering and represent the voice of your customer back to the rest of the company.

AI Use Cases: Depending on your background, deliver AI use cases to clients alongside the platform, putting AI to work inside their sustainability function and going beyond what the product does on its own.

Working with AI: Use AI as a central part of how you work. On the data side, to get your arms around messy client datasets fast, not necessarily to solve everything yourself, but to know what you're looking at and what to ask for. On the delivery side, to automate the repetitive parts of onboarding, quality checks and recurring reporting, so your time goes to the client rather than the plumbing.

Continuous Improvement: Document the end-to-end data flow, continually looking for better ways to collect and process data, and promote adoption across your customer base.

Pre-Sales Advisory: Demonstrate platform value to prospects through tailored demos and compelling business cases that quantify ROI and win internal buy-in.

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

This role is deliberately built for a blend of profiles, someone strong on the consulting side who can run their own data engineering work leveraging AI tooling, or an experienced data engineer with strong client-facing experience who wants to own the client relationship.

Must-have:

• 4–8 years across management/sustainability consulting and/or data engineering, data science, or software engineering.
• Experience using Python to work with real, messy data, as an engineer or consultant.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex, messy data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Experience being highly exposed to demanding customers, and able to run projects with little guidance.
• AI-enthusiast, and AI-fluent or almost, and not only for drafting: someone who uses it to get their arms around complex data problems, and to automate the repetitive parts of their own work. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Passion for sustainability and a genuine understanding of environmental challenges and solutions.
• Carbon expertise is a plus: familiarity with carbon accounting, GHG emissions, CCF/PCF, EF matching, and sustainability reporting standards.
• Fluent in English.

WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED

Role based in central Paris. Office-based during onboarding, then up to 2 remote days a week and up to 3 fully remote weeks a year.

YOUR TEAM

In this role, you will report to the Customer Director. You will work closely with the Value Consultants, Solution Architects and our sales, product and engineering teams.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

€60,000 to €100,000 total compensation, variable included, depending on your seniority and where you land on our internal grid. We will discuss this openly during the process. Plus BSPCE. Health insurance with Alan. Meal vouchers with Swile. 50% of commuting costs. A Mac and the tools you need, including a Claude licence.
