Back Market in Paris invites an ambitious UX writer/content design intern to join the world-class Content Design Team. You will craft meticulous UI copy across user journeys, collaborating with product managers, designers, researchers, brand teams, and translators to ensure clarity and consistency.

You will learn the glossary, style guide, and tone-of-voice, work on an international audience in 18 languages, and contribute to research, testing, and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Academic or bootcamp training in UX writing/content design.
• Fluent English (C2 or native).
• Experience with in-house glossary and style guide.
• Attention to detail and brand tone adaptation.
• Experience working on localization for multiple languages.

The Design Team at Back Market is passionate about informing and building interfaces with the user as our focus. We zoom out to see the bigger picture, but also understand that the devil is in the details.

We do this because we want to make the world a better place. Our goal is to offer more than just an alternative avenue to buy tech products; we want to do e-commerce differently.

As part of our world-class Content Design Team, you’ll work closely with product managers, product designers, researchers, brand teams, and translators to explore the full user journey from end to end, making data-driven decisions, and keeping the user in focus.

You’ll craft meticulous content for UI surfaces and other essential user touchpoints. You’ll learn our global glossary, house style guide, and tone-of-voice guide.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT):

• Craft UX content for various parts of our Customer Journey user experience.
• Collaborate with our existing content designers and writers to proofread and edit all sorts of copy on deadline.
• Keep the needs of an international audience in mind, working with stakeholders and our Localization (translation) team to ensure our approach is adaptable in 18 languages.
• Participate in research to understand our users’ challenges firsthand, and keep these learnings forever front-of-mind as you improve our experience.
• Dig into quantitative and qualitative data to discover opportunities to improve website/app copy and messaging, so our experiences and offerings feel seamless and delightful.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with people from diverse competencies — from engineers and UX designers to marketers and analysts.
• You have academic or bootcamp training in UX writing/content design, or professional experience in these areas.
• You accept feedback gracefully and don’t take yourself too seriously.
• You have experience working with an in-house glossary and style guide.
• You pay meticulous attention to detail!
• You can understand and adapt your writing to a brand's tone of voice quickly.
• English is a no-brainer — you must be able to write and speak at a fluent level (C2 or native-level).
• Experience with product design tools is a plus, but not required (e.g., Figma).

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

• Starting date: January 2027
• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Full-time (35H/week)
• Location: Paris, France
• Contract: internship agreement (convention de stage) provided by your French school is required

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

• 30-60 minute Technical Skills & Team Fit Interview with the direct manager and one other member of the Content Design team
• Content Design challenge to be completed at home
• Video call interview with Campus Recruitment Manager
