A dynamic technology company in Nouvelle-Aquitaine is looking for a User Researcher to join their Product team. You will be responsible for driving user insights to inform product strategies, managing both qualitative and quantitative research. Candidates should have strong communication skills in English and French and at least 2 years of industry experience. 🎯 Missions and Challenges

Within the Product team, as part of the Design division, you’ll join a team of three User Researchers and report to the User Research Manager.

You’ll be responsible for designing, executing, sharing, and promoting insights generated through qualitative and quantitative research to guide Pictarine’s various initiatives.

Your main missions will be to:

🧭 Guide product and squad decisions

• Support decision-making within your squad and across the product team.
• Influence Pictarine’s product strategy by identifying new opportunities.
• Deepen the organization’s understanding of our customers across different departments (Product, Marketing).
• Help your squad make the best possible decisions and identify problems as early as possible.
• Act as the voice of our customers among designers, developers, and the PM to guide team choices.

🔍 Manage and enhance user research throughout the product lifecycle

• Lead high-level, strategic research combining qualitative, quantitative, and market research.
• Conduct tactical studies focused on specific designs or product issues.
• Collaborate with designers to design, build, and test solution prototypes.
• Continuously improve user research practices at Pictarine, in collaboration with your fellow User Researchers.

💎 About You

• Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience as a User Researcher, ideally within a B2C environment.
• Fluent in English: You’re comfortable conducting live interviews with native English speakers, particularly American users.
• You already have a solid level of French (B2 minimum) and a strong desire to improve. If you’re currently based abroad, you have a clear, long-term plan to relocate to France.
• Communication: You’re impactful in both written and spoken communication, knowing when and how to deliver the right message with the right medium.
• Balance: You’re able to calibrate the right level of time and effort for a research project based on its expected impact on the product.
• Micro vs. Macro: You can balance micro research (focused design or usability tests) with macro research (strategic, high-level studies).
• Product Culture: You’re passionate about apps, websites, and the digital world, with a genuine curiosity for UI, UX, and business trends.
• UX Expertise: You have strong knowledge of UX principles and ergonomics.
• Insight Generation: You know how to craft meaningful, nuanced insights that inspire action.
• Big Picture Thinking: You can step back and connect the dots across complex, interrelated topics.
