FM is looking for a French Translator to join our Paris-based team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in making FM’s brand, services, and technical expertise resonate across French-speaking markets including France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Responsibilities
  • Translate and adapt content from English to French, including but not limited to:
    • Marketing and sales materials (web content, presentations, press releases, multimedia)
    • Insurance documentation (policy templates, underwriting guidelines)
    • Engineering reports and risk prevention materials
  • Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with FM’s tone of voice and brand.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to clarify terminology and intent.
  • Maintain and contribute to internal linguistic resources: glossaries, style guides, translation memories.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Translation, Localization, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in translation, with expertise in marketing and legal materials, and some experience in technical content.
  • Native-level fluency in French with excellent command of English; additional languages being a plus.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Good command of translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, terminology databases).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally with teams and experts.
