A progressive financial institution in Paris is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to oversee trading strategies and operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cryptocurrency exchanges, risk management, and Python programming. This is a full-time, on-site internship opportunity suitable for final-year students or recent graduates, with a starting date of March 2026 and a duration of 6 months.

As the Trading Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of our trading operations in the EMEA region. You will play a key role in shaping trading strategies, ensuring governance and compliance, and managing the daily operational activities of the trading team. Your ability to manage risk, coordinate interdepartmental activities, and foster strong client relationships will be essential to the success of our trading operations in Paris.

Role and responsibilities
  • Strategy & Governance, manage trading routes, automation, transaction authorization, and overseeing tools and external providers.
  • Security & Risk Management, implement automation for trading and safeguarding assets.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination, facilitate communication, providing operational tools, and streamlining client deployments.
  • Database & System Management, maintain databases, ensuring system interoperability, and managing security tools.
  • Reporting & Analytics, generate PnL reports and managing fund deployment.
  • Critical Task Handling, open exchange accounts and managing fees/aggregation feeds.
Background and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency exchanges and liquidity venues (spot/derivatives), OMS/EMS, FIX/REST/WebSocket APIs, and blockchain fundamentals (wallets, custody, fees, confirmations).
  • Excellent understanding of risk management and security protocols in the cryptocurrency industry.
  • Strong Python skills are a must (data wrangling, automation, monitoring, and reconciliation tooling); proficiency with SQL and at least one additional language (e.g., TypeScript/Java) is a plus.
  • Experience building operational dashboards, alerts, and workflows; familiarity with version control (Git) and basic CI/CD is advantageous.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 market environment; sound judgment under pressure and strong ownership mindset.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and process-driven; able to improve and document controls and procedures.
  • Regulatory/compliance exposure highly desirable (KYC/AML, Travel Rule, market abuse surveillance, licensing regimes).
  • Willingness to cover rotational shifts or on-call as needed for market hours and incident response.

Start Date, starting from March 2026
