Heat Merchants is a leading heating merchant with branches nationwide, including the Blackpool and Cork area. We are seeking a part-time Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join a busy, customer-focused team and help deliver an outstanding branch experience.

You will greet customers, advise on products, process sales, maintain displays, and support all branch operations, including occasional deliveries. This role offers flexible 3 days per week and Saturday mornings.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to build relationships.
• Clear communicator and team player.
• Experience in trade counter, retail or related environment is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Deliver outstanding customer service at the trade counter.
• Process orders, quotations and sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain stock displays and keep the counter well presented.
• Assist with stock handling, goods inwards and occasional deliveries.

At Heat Merchants, we're hiring a Part-Time Trade Counter Sales Assistant for our branch in Blackpool, Cork, due to a branch colleague retiring.

The successful candidate will be supporting customers, driving sales, and helping to deliver an exceptional branch experience every day. We are looking for somebody to work 3 days per week and who will be flexible to work 8am-12pm on the occasional Saturday.

The Role

This is a varied, customer-facing position where you'll play an important role in supporting trade and retail customers, processing sales, maintaining stock displays, and ensuring our branch provides a professional and welcoming experience. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll assist with all aspects of branch operations, including trade counter sales, stock handling, goods inwards, and occasional customer deliveries when required.

Things You'll Do

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
You'll greet customers, understand their requirements, and provide expert advice and product recommendations to help them find the right solutions.

Support Sales Growth
You'll process orders, quotations, and sales transactions accurately while identifying opportunities to promote products and services that add value for customers.

Maintain Trade Counter Standards
You'll ensure the trade counter, displays, and merchandising areas are well presented, organised, and stocked to create a positive customer experience.

Build Strong Customer Relationships
You'll develop positive relationships with both trade and retail customers, becoming a trusted point of contact within the branch.

Support Branch Operations
You'll be a key part of the branch team, assisting with all areas of the business as required. From serving customers at the trade counter and managing stock to supporting goods inwards and completing customer deliveries when needed, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

Put Safety First
You'll follow all company policies and health & safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
