TECHNODIGIT is a 40-person software R&D company within HEXAGON, a global leader in measurement technologies. We develop cutting-edge software for 3D data processing, visualization, modelling and inspection, helping industries such as construction, surveying, mining, architecture and engineering turn real-world data into digital reality.
As part of HEXAGON, we combine the agility of a specialized R&D team with the opportunities and international reach of a global organization.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a TechOps Engineer to join our Lyon-based team and help keep our development environments reliable, stable and continuously evolving.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure and R&D server fleet, while helping shape the next generation of our engineering environment.
With AI and automation transforming software development, this is an opportunity to have a real impact on how our teams build, test and deliver innovative 3D technologies.
YOU ARE MOTIVATED BY
- Maintaining and evolving our continuous-integration infrastructure (GitHub + TeamCity): a fleet of cross-platform build agents (Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, Yocto, …), hardening and optimizing the pipelines
- Administering and securing our R&D server fleet (Linux and Windows) and our virtualization platform (Proxmox): hardening, updates, and rolling out the action plan following the IT audiT
- Managing our local R&D network environment (addressing, access, connectivity and availability of servers and agents), in coordination with the group IT team that administers the network infrastructure (switches, firewall)
- Sizing and renewing hardware (build servers, storage, network): technology watch, quotes, vendor relationships
- Automating and modernizing our infrastructure and our CI: our vision is to manage everything "as code" — Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, …) and CI-as-Code (versioned, reproducible pipelines)
- Using AI to improve the way we work: integrating AI tools into our CI, our IT and our internal processes to gain efficiency and reliability
- Providing hands-on IT support for the site's teams (workstations, meeting rooms, equipment)
THIS IS YOU
- Degree in computer science / systems and networks (bachelor's to master's level) or equivalent experience
- Solid experience administering Linux and Windows systems
- Familiarity with Proxmox virtualization, or at least with managing virtual machines in a QEMU / KVM environment
- Command of a continuous-integration pipeline: our environment relies on GitHub and TeamCity (experience with equivalent tools is valued)
- Experience building on extended platforms (macOS, iOS) and/or embedded / exotic platforms (Yocto, Android, …) is a plus
- Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS)
- Aptitude for scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- A good command of "as code" approaches — Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, …) and CI-as-Code (versioned pipelines) — is a real plus: this is the direction we want to give our infrastructure and our CI
- Awareness of security and best practices (hardening, compliance audits)
- You put reliability and stability above all else: it is the guiding thread of everything you build
- AI skills (concepts, tools, hands-on practice) — an area set to take on a growing role in our CI and our IT
- A "builder" mindset: proactive, not afraid to move forward, to propose and to make things happen
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is essential; another language is an asset
- Autonomy, a service mindset, and a taste for exchanging with technical experts and people from varied backgrounds
WE OFFER YOU
- Remote work - the team can work up to 2 days per week from home
- Individual training opportunities (internal and external)
- "Sustainable mobility package" = up to €800/year compensation for using sustainable transport Works council (€30/month)
- Team building
- A warm and international company culture based on respect and mutual support
