Job summary

Technodigit, part of Hexagon, Lyon, develops software for processing 3D scanner data, including visualization and modeling. You will contribute to Cyclone 3DR by building rich UI in C++ and collaborating with product teams to translate needs into simple interfaces.

You will participate in all development stages, review code, and share progress in monthly demos while mentoring peers in a dynamic, international team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science; equivalent experience accepted.
• Advanced knowledge of C++ (C++20/C++23).
• 5+ years of desktop UI development experience.
• Strong attention to UX and detail.
• Excellent collaboration in an Agile environment.
• Nice to have: 3D knowledge; point cloud/mesh processing; Qt; software architecture.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop rich, high-performance UIs for Cyclone 3DR using modern C++.
• Translate functional needs with PM/PO into intuitive interfaces.
• Contribute through all development stages: design, implement, test.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software quality.
• Present progress to stakeholders during monthly demos.
• Explore cross-codebase issues and broaden technical scope.
• Mentor less experienced developers on the team.

Job description

Technodigit, part of Hexagon, is a software company of about forty people based in Lyon (near Part-Dieu train station). We develop innovative software solutions for processing data from 3D scanners: visualization, manipulation and modeling of point clouds, meshing, control, and inspection.

Our two software development teams work in synergy:

• SDK Team: Develops the 3DR SDK technology, dedicated to processing point clouds from measurement or reality capture devices.
• Application Team: Develops desktop software such as Leica Cyclone 3DR, Leica Cloudworx, and Leica TruView Desktop, targeting a wide range of applications including topography, construction, heritage, industrial sites, mines and tunnels.

Technodigit combines the strength and international reach of the Hexagon group (24,000+ employees) with the agility of a high-performing local team passionate about innovation.

Reporting to the Application team, you will contribute to the development of features for our Cyclone 3DR software.

• Developing rich and high-performance user interfaces using the latest C++ standards
• Working closely with product teams (PM and PO) to translate functional needs into simple and intuitive interfaces
• Being involved in every stage of the development process: design, implementation, testing
• Taking part in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of software quality and the maintenance of existing code
• Presenting your progress to stakeholders during monthly demos
• Expanding your knowledge beyond UI by analyzing and investigating issues across the entire codebase
• Sharing your experience and mentoring less experienced developers on the team (technical mentoring)

Who you are

• Master's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
• Advanced knowledge of C++ (C++20, C++23)
• Significant experience (5+ years) developing user interfaces for desktop applications
• Sensitivity to user experience and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in an Agile environment
• Curiosity about new tools (particularly generative AI), and ability to evolve your development practices
• Nice to have: 3D knowledge; experience with point cloud or mesh processing; Qt; software architecture
• Fluent in French and English
