This role requires full relocation to the project site.

Function description

As Technical Superintendent, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Bridge and Engine Room teams, offering expert guidance on maintenance, repairs, and safety procedures. You'll be responsible for overseeing the vessel's technical condition, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency, while managing the PMS, spare parts inventory, and coordination with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to the Bridge and Engine Room teams.
• Oversee vessel maintenance, repair, and ensure adherence to safe working practices.
• Ensure full compliance with technical regulations and operational standards.
• Support vessel fabrication, implement Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), and manage spare parts inventory.
• Select and manage suppliers and contractors for all technical requirements.
• Plan and execute maintenance strategies, including crew training and proper documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Operations Management to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in (large-scale) marine / maritime projects. Ideally as Technical Superintendent, Head of Maintenance or similar.
• Proven experience with complex, long-term multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong autonomy and ability to take the lead when needed.
• Excellent understanding of marine equipment and vessel maintenance.
• Fluent in English; Danish or Dutch would be a big plus.
• Willingness to relocate full-time to project site
