Job summary

Selected Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Technical Product Manager to own the CIAM vision and capability map in a hybrid Paris setting. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape the authentication, identity and access strategy for millions of users globally.

The role requires strong technical grounding in authentication/authorization and hands-on CIAM experience with leading platforms, delivering secure, scalable identity solutions while balancing security and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product Management or Technical Product Management, Identity or SaaS.
• Strong grounding in modern authentication and authorization.
• Hands-on experience with CIAM or identity platforms such as Ping Identity, Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock or Microsoft Entra.

Responsibilities

• Own CIAM vision and capability map.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, security specialists and engineers to ensure capabilities are secure and scalable.
• Partner with business units to drive convergence onto reusable identity solutions.
• Balance fraud prevention, security, user experience and conversion.

Technical Product Manager | Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)

The opportunity

This is a rare chance to own the vision for how millions of users securely sign in, authenticate and access services across a global group. You’ll join the Digital Identity team as the go-to expert on customer identity, shaping a capability-led CIAM strategy that is independent of any single technology provider.

It’s a strategic, expertise-led role. Day-to-day backlog and delivery coordination sit with dedicated product and engineering roles, so your focus is direction, capability ownership and impact.

What you’ll own

CIAM vision and capability map

• Authentication, MFA, passwordless and passkeys
• Federation, SSO and access authorisation
• Session and token management
• Risk-based and adaptive authentication
• Credential and authenticator lifecycle management

The future of digital identity

• Anticipating market, technology and regulatory shifts: EUDI Wallet, verifiable credentials, eIDAS, PSD3 and agentic identity
• Market intelligence, technology watch and competitive benchmarking across CIAM and digital identity
• Defining product principles, strategic options and outcome-driven roadmap recommendations

Partnership and influence

• Working with Product Managers, architects, security specialists and engineers to ensure capabilities are secure, scalable and built to last
• Partnering with business units and global programmes to drive convergence onto shared, reusable identity solutions
• Balancing fraud prevention, security, user experience and conversion
• Acting as the internal reference on identity standards, from engineering teams to executive audiences

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Identity, Cybersecurity, SaaS or platform environments
• Strong technical grounding in modern authentication and authorisation
• Hands-on experience with CIAM or identity platforms such as Ping Identity, Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock or Microsoft Entra
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, FIDO2, passkeys, federation, APIs and tokens
• An analytical, data-driven mindset and the ability to turn complex inputs into clear recommendations
• Confidence influencing without formal authority in an international matrix organisation
• Global scope and impact across millions of users
• A seat at the forefront of digital identity as passkeys, digital wallets and agentic identity reshape the market
• A clear path to broader responsibilities within a central product organisation
