Job summary

HKU Careers is inviting applications for the role of Technical Officer in Imaging and Flow Cytometry Core within the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences. The appointee will maintain state-of-the-art imaging and flow cytometry equipment and support researchers with technical guidance.

The role covers development of SOPs, organization of seminars, and delivering user training, with a two-year fixed-term contract and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in biomedical research and/or imaging/flow cytometry equipment operation is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state-of-the-art imaging and flow cytometry equipment.
• Provide user training and technical advice to support research.
• Develop and implement standard operating protocols (SOPs).
• Organize technical seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
