BeReal is seeking a Tech Lead iOS Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our iOS application, impacting millions of users worldwide. You will mentor engineers, shape product direction, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of iOS development experience with leadership of technical projects.
• Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI with production-ready apps.
• Solid understanding of iOS architecture and system design at scale.
• Experience in mentoring, leadership, and driving engineering best practices.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Role

We are looking for a Tech Lead iOS Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our iOS application, impacting millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the product, mentoring engineers, and ensuring excellence in both delivery and engineering practices.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead iOS technical strategy and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features with a strong focus on impact and quality.
• Mentor iOS engineers and foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical decisions with product and business goals.
• Own code quality and engineering standards, improving best practices and processes.
• Make high-impact technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
• Use data and user feedback to inform product and technical improvements.
• Drive innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI) and adopt modern tools, including AI-assisted development.
• Ensure reliability and performance at scale, with a strong focus on user experience.

You’ll work alongside AI tools that amplify your creativity and streamline your day-to-day.

Profile

• 7+ years of experience in iOS development, with significant experience in leading technical projects
• Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with proven production experience
• Solid understanding of iOS architecture and system design at scale
• Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving engineering best practices
• Strong product mindset with attention to detail in UX, animations, and interactions
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in data-driven development and analytics
• Highly autonomous, impactful, and results-oriented
• Fluent in English (French is a plus)
