Job summary

Mars in France seeks a Tax Project Manager to lead indirect tax activities across multiple Mars entities. You will handle VAT, local taxes, and EPR, while coordinating with shared services and external advisors.

• Be the tax/audit point of contact for indirect tax topics.
• Lead ad hoc projects like E-Invoicing on VAT questions and related duties.
• Identify opportunities to improve WoW and indirect tax planning with tax advisors.

Mars in France gathers several businesses (Mars Petcare France, Mars Confectionery, Wrigley factory, CEIPA, Mars IS, Royal Canin Headquarters, Royal Canin France,); this means that several business models are at stake and therefore requires some expertise on tax topics

The objective of the tax project manager position is to respond to all challenges regarding Indirect tax matters, whether it be VAT, local property taxes, EPR, both in a recurring context (monitoring of declarations made by team members) and through ad hoc projects (like E Invoicing, EPR enhancement).

What are we looking for?

• Master's Degree of Accounting (DSCG or Master CCA)
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience: ideally in an international company where some indirect tax matters & accounting projects were led
• Evident experience of responsibility in both financial control / custodianship
• Comfortable interacting with various levels of an organization (MGS, Genpact, local business, tax authorities)
• Strong functional background on accounting and tax
• Very good communication skills both oral and written
• Language skills: fluent English

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Ensure compliance as regards VAT declarations & payments, local property taxes, EPR, Organic tax, CVAE,...
• Collaborate with Mars Global Services/Genpact to improve data accuracy regarding input VAT posting
• In both tax and accounting audits, be the stakeholder for any question arising on indirect tax topics
• Be the partner to the business on ad hoc projects like E Invoicing on VAT questions
• Anticipate any opportunity to improve WoW and indirect tax planning, including through partnership with tax advisors
