Qualifications

• An active CPA license, CA designation OR experience as a US tax attorney. Demonstrated ability to interpret statutes beyond return preparation is essential.
• Work precisely with defined terms, conditions, numeric thresholds, Boolean logic and exceptions.
• Sales/use tax or broader SALT experience is strongly preferred; multistate work, EA status, relevant federal tax, AI review and written training experience are additional strengths.

Responsabilités

• Break statutory provisions into independently defined, testable requirements.
• Check formal tax interpretations for thresholds, conditions, exceptions and logical operators.
• Write edge cases and graded findings that another reviewer can reproduce.
