GCI is seeking a Systems Engineer (TS/SCI with Poly) for on-site work in Chantilly, VA. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing technical solutions for complex problems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include security audits, system administration, collaborating with infrastructure engineers, documenting systems, and communicating incident progress to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 1–5 years of related systems administration experience.
• Experience installing/configuring/maintaining Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience with VM management.
• US Citizenship and active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform system assessments and security audits.
• Participate in remote monitoring and management system administration: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review.
• Work with infrastructure engineers to identify new products and solutions.
• Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
• Communicate with customers: incident progress, changes, outages.
• Familiarity with VPNs, SIP Trunking, BGP, VLAN, Deployments.
• Partner with application developers to solve complex problems.
• Work with vendors to procure and implement high-performing solutions.
