Merck Electronics is seeking a highly motivated System Engineer to join our Engineering team in France. You will drive the specification, definition, integration, and optimization of complex mechatronic and optical systems for advanced semiconductor metrology applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, software, hardware, and applications to ensure system-level requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through customer ramp-up, with focus on

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in complex system development.
• Experience with optical systems, metrology, or related high-tech industries is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and communication across international teams.

Responsabilités

• Define and manage system-level requirements, specifications, and architectures for metrology and inspection machines.
• Lead system integration and validation to ensure performance of mechanical, electrical, optical, and software subsystems.
• Collaborate with R&D, software, hardware, and applications teams to enable smooth development and deployment.
• Support V-cycle development and assist root cause analysis during development and customer ramp-up.
• Drive continuous improvement in system design, reliability, and manufacturability.
